All our programmes are designed with the locals in mind first and foremost, and then volunteers and interns come to fit into the local setup, which ensures that the programmes
will continue beyond the stay of external partners and volunteers. The programmes and experiences are also designed to ensure our core value of knowledge exchange takes place seamlessly.

I had a wonderful time doing my global health rotation with Tiritose and was able to enrich myself in both the cultural aspects of the country and the educational aspects of seeing how health care functions in Zimbabwe. Everything was well coordinated - Wesley answered all our questions prior to arriving to Zimbabwe and received us at the airport. We felt safe at all times, all our transportation was coordinated, and our housing was arranged. Wesley took the time to take us out to the city and to historical/cultural places of the country. In regards to the medical experience, we shadowed both a urologist and a pediatric neurosurgeon who were phenomenal human beings to meet, and spent some time in the rural area as well doing medical work. Wesley made sure to ask us what things we wanted for our education and did what he could within his means to provide us the experience. Things to improve, which I'm sure they have already, are to include more actual hands-on experiences for rotators and this may mean to have more time at the rural clinic, or to find more hospitals within the city where they allow you to see patients on your own, or to find out other departments to shadow at in the city. The cost of the rotation was expensive in my view, but I also think Zimbabwe in itself is an expensive country. I loved my time in Zimbabwe, loved everyone I met in Tiritose, and would definitely return in a heartbeat.

I was in Zim for only 3 weeks, but that was enough to let me fall in love with the people, the country and more. I didn't want to leave the country. I was in the beautiful Harare for 2 weeks and the last week we went to the Victoria Falls(L)
I met so many new people and they are all so welcoming even though they just met us. We in the Netherlands could learn from this behavior, and be more welcoming to tourist in our country. I loved hanging out with locals and spending time in the beautiful nature from Zimbabwe, Victoria falls was definitely a highlight in Zim. Waterfalls are amazing in common but seeing this waterfall was even more than amazing. Its such a big and high waterfall that you can keep watching to it for days. Its definitely I wanted to check off my bucket list. And off course the beautiful wildlife that Zimbabwe has, it keeps fascinated to see elephants or buffels or whatever in the wild. Or the Monkeys who tried to steel my grocery when I just came back from the store, back in the Netherlands its so funny to think back at that moment because something like that would never happen over here.
I will definitely go back one day soon. Thanks Zimbabwe and the lovely people for the great time and opportunity.

Wesley helped my friend and I to get in contact with House Of Smiles in Harare.
There we met a lot of wonderful people, who showed us much more than we could have dreamt about.
Our project (working with children with HIV) got a whole new perspective when we included the House of Smiles.
