Leave Only Your Footprints

All our programmes are designed with the locals in mind first and foremost, and then volunteers and interns come to fit into the local setup, which ensures that the programmes will continue beyond the stay of external partners and volunteers. The programmes and experiences are also designed to ensure our core value of knowledge exchange takes place seamlessly.
We denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who we are to beguiled demoralized by the charms of pleasures that moment, so we blinded desires, that they indignation.

Volunteer at Mukuvisi Woodlands

Gavin Lau started volunteering at the Mukuvisi Woodlands Wildlife and Environment Centre in the beginning of October. Firstly, Gavin expressed that he wanted to live in the bush whilst volunteering but after getting over the fact that it was not possible, Gavin got on straight to work in the Woodland.

Gavin was part of the team that ensured children who visited the Woodland were safe on the tours around the 263-hectare wildlife reserve that he led. He also played a massive role with the Schools EcoChallenge Quiz held on October 14, inside the Woodland. Tiritose Sustainable Travel was delighted to have been invited to attend alongside senior government officials including the Minister of Environment, Water and Climate.

The all-day event explored environmental issues being faced in Zimbabwe and the rest of the world and the students were well prepared for the quiz. Some of their work is exhibited by the National Art Gallery. Mukuvisi Woodlands aims to promote and strengthen environmental management through environmental education programmes, which are intended to raise awareness, develop knowledge and skills and influence positive attitudinal and behavioural change. wildlife volunteer Gavin taking good care of the children at the Mukuvisi Woodland Centre.
