Leave Only Your Footprints

All our programmes are designed with the locals in mind first and foremost, and then volunteers and interns come to fit into the local setup, which ensures that the programmes will continue beyond the stay of external partners and volunteers. The programmes and experiences are also designed to ensure our core value of knowledge exchange takes place seamlessly.
We denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who we are to beguiled demoralized by the charms of pleasures that moment, so we blinded desires, that they indignation.

Looking for inspiration during your gap year? Zimbabwe is a world of wonders and in every hidden gem you come across, you will find inspiration. Be it creativity, innovation or the next big idea, the landlocked country is capable of giving you the spark that you need in 2021.

Providing medical assistance in rural and urban areas is a service that is underrated. There are many communities in Zimbabwe that are in dire need of medical assistance and this is where you come in. Not only will you be helping and empowering these communities, but you will also be shadowing medical professionals throughout the process. It’s an immersive experience that will develop your skills, inspire innovation, and it will give you a global view on healthcare systems.

HIV/AIDS is a major issue on the African continent and there are organisations set up in Zimbabwe working tirelessly on educating the communities and caring for those affected by the virus. There are activities communities participate in and people find the activities to have a positive influence on individuals. In collaboration with various organisations, there is a collective need to share ideas to improve the circumstances for the various focus groups. Together, we can raise awareness and help empower everyone in the local communities.

You get to learn new skills in the medical field and also go through the admin side of operating a medical practice, as well as the business element. Enrich yourself with the knowledge that results in a holistic approach to your future profession. And with this experience, it gives you the competitive advantage of attending the med school of your choice.

Wondering what are the differences between private and public healthcare in a developing country? Global health objectives are important as this allows you to solve the world’s problems with a global view. This is possible in Zimbabwe where you will be immersed in the various backgrounds of the individuals you will be interacting with. With a global view of healthcare, your innovations will be able to assist the world over.

The great thing about immersing yourself in the communities in Zimbabwe is that you learn from the people you engage with just as much as the people learn from you. You find that there is an exchange between the both of you, which is uplifting, empowering and positive on their mental well-being. The people you will be engaging with are excited to welcome you to their community.

Like what you’ve read so far? There a few things you need to know before you travel to Zimbabwe and here’s a guide for you to enjoy.

It may not be a great time to travel because of the restricting impact of the coronavirus, however, the time will come when exploring the world will be back on top of the to-do list, and we would like for you to explore Zimbabwe in 2021. Feel inspired during your gap year.

Stay home. Stay safe.

Yours in travel,
