Leave Only Your Footprints

All our programmes are designed with the locals in mind first and foremost, and then volunteers and interns come to fit into the local setup, which ensures that the programmes will continue beyond the stay of external partners and volunteers. The programmes and experiences are also designed to ensure our core value of knowledge exchange takes place seamlessly.
We denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who we are to beguiled demoralized by the charms of pleasures that moment, so we blinded desires, that they indignation.

Tiritose Sustainable Travel attended a weeklong summer camp in Marondera, held by the Let The Children Play Trust (LTCP). The camp is called Music That Matters and nurtures musical talents of young people, from giving vocal lessons to learning and playing instruments. We attended the camp for one day to learn about the camp and to see how we could be involved with LTCP’s work and goals. Two dancers from the Tamba Africa Ensemble held one of the workshops at the camp and we facilitated this engagement.

The choreographer Blessed Rukweza and dancer Ndomupeishe Chipendo taught the children various African dance moves. Tiritose also arranged for the rest of the Tamba Africa Ensemble to come to the camp to create and finalise the dance performance that was showcased at the AWARE Rhino & Elephant Awareness Day in September.

Tiritose Sustainable Travel and LTCP will now move towards internationalising the Music That Matters camps, and have agreed that Tiritose Sustainable Travel will be the ideal partner to get young people from all over the world to attend these camps from 2016 going forward. The goal is that these camps will create stronger relationships for children across borders, and give the new generation a creative platform to exchange ideas and culture through music and dance.
